The conference will explore the following areas: – Coastal and near-shore biodiversity
– UNCLOS and the conservation of marine biodiversity in areas beyond national jurisdiction
– Ethical and legal issues related to trophy hunting
– International scientific assessments and their implementation into international and domestic legal regimes
– Increasing the effectiveness of protected areas
– Papers on other topics will also be considered. Abstracts must be written in English, complete with title, author(s)’s name(s), and institutional affiliation. Should you wish to present a paper at IWLC-19, please submit an abstract (maximum 300 words) to iwlc-19@law.stetson.edu no later than 21 September 2018.
